How Usage-Based Billing Works
We aggregate variable costs monthly (data transfer, storage, Maps API, and AI) and charge fairly for what you use. AI usage (embeddings & search) is token-metered at approximately ¥25 per 1M tokens (assumes 160 JPY/USD and a 20% buffer).

Data Storage
We use AWS (Amazon Web Services) to safeguard sensitive data. All traffic is encrypted with TLS, and every image is protected by CloudFront cookie authentication with strict access control.
No matter how private your photos are, they’re never shown to anyone other than authenticated users. Even if a URL is leaked, it cannot be accessed without the signed authentication cookie. Storage is replicated across multiple Availability Zones, with no storage cap. Your images can be accumulated and used long-term without quality degradation.
Payment
The billing and display currency is Japanese Yen (JPY).
You can pay with major international credit cards, including cards issued outside Japan
(e.g., Visa / Mastercard / American Express). Charges are converted at your card network’s FX rate,
and foreign transaction fees may apply.
Your subscription starts when the Base Plan is activated, and we automatically charge on the 4th of each month (JST) for the previous month’s usage.
Billing Cycle
From “My Menu” you can pause or resume your subscription at any time, based on your needs.
How Usage Is Calculated
Aggregation is based on Japan Standard Time (JST). The calculation window is 1st 00:00:00 – last day 23:59:59 (JST) each month.
- Events are stored in UTC and converted to JST at aggregation time.
- AI usage is calculated by monthly total tokens (embeddings / search).
- Storage charges are determined by your total stored data (GB) + the number of photo/video additions (uploads) during the month.
- Data transfer is based on the month’s downloaded volume (GB).
- Totals are rounded to the nearest yen at charge time.
Example: If you use the service in Paris at 19:00 on Jan 31, 2025, that is 03:00 on Feb 1, 2025 (JST), so it counts toward February.
